HERO DOG PULLS GIRL FROM ICY RIVER

A girl falls through the ice, a man's dog pulls her to safety, and everyone goes on the local news for a feel-good story. But behind the tidy headline are three individuals longing for what they don't have. HERO DOG PULLS GIRL FROM ICY RIVER explores the aftermath of the rescue from three perspectives: the girl, who fell through the ice on purpose; the man, who craves the urgency and aliveness he felt during the rescue; and the dog, who doubts whether he really is a Hero Dog.

THE BED

Two lovers in a declining relationship impulsively drag their bed into the backyard to sleep and make love. Soon their lives begin to revolve around their outdoor bedroom. The summer lengthens and the plants and insects begin to merge with the bed, while the couple grows increasingly detached from the ordinary world. But while one of them may be finding a way back to the relationship through the strange alternate reality of the outdoor bed, the other is finding a reason to leave.

HARVEY AND MAY

Elderly couple May and Harvey Tern are cruising at 5,000 feet in their red and white Piper Archer plane when Harvey passes out and May is forced to take control. Against the backdrop of May's desperate attempts to land, HARVEY AND MAY flashes back to her fraught relationships with her husband, daughter, and granddaughter, exploring how those relationships have changed over time, including in what might be May and Harvey's final moments together.
